GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – Georgetown deputies say that it was a child welfare check that led to a meth lab bust on Lobo Loop Sunday.
According to the press release, officers were conducting the check when they located items consistent with the production of methamphetamine and also discovered evidence that someone had burned remnants of the methamphetamine.
The report says deputies removed the child and the other occupants of the house and called in extra agents from the Drug Enforcement Unit, a HAZMAT team from Georgetown County Fire and SLED.
Angela Floyd, Alex Floyd and Plummer Lambert, all from Georgetown, were arrested, charged with possession, manufacture and trafficking of methamphetamine, and disposal of waste from production of methamphetamine and taken to Georgetown County Detention Center.
