DEARBORN, Mich. (WBTW) – Ford has announced a major recall that could affect more than 100,000 cars.

In the press release, the manufacturer said the vehicles have fuel pump control modules that can fail, causing the engine to stall without warning.  Ford also mentioned some cars have faulty power window software.

Ford says it is not aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this issue.

Affected models include the Ford Taurus, the Flex, Lincoln MKS and MKT, and the Ford Police Interceptor sedan.

Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump control module and the power window system software as needed at no cost to the customer, the release says.For more information, read the press release here.
