PICKENS, SC (WSPA) – An Upstate school district said it plans to redraw a crooked sideline on one of its football fields as soon as next week.

The move comes after Liberty High School Coach Troy Bowe tweeted the image of the squiggly line as his junior varsity team prepared to play Pickens on the Pickens High School field Thursday night.

By late Friday, the image had been retweeted more than 4,000 times and was even broadcast on ESPN and CBS Sports.

“I don’t know exactly what happened with the drawing of the line,” said John Eby, spokesman for the Pickens County School District. “I do know that when it was game time, it was approved for playing on so the game went on as normal.”

Bose declined comment.

Eby said the line will be fixed before the next home game.
