NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Country singer Justin Carter has died after a reported accidental shooting while filming a music video.
The up-and-coming artist was 35 years old.
According to Fox News, his mother Cindy McClellan said a gun in her son’s pocket “went off and caught my son in the corner of his eye.”
“He was a wonderful artist. He was the voice, he was the total package and we’re trying to keep his legacy alive,” said McClellan.
The gun was reportedly a prop for his new video.
He reportedly leaves behind two daughters. His family has set up a PayPal to help cover funeral and burial costs.
