AYNOR, SC (WBTW) – Thousands of people attended Saturday’s Harvest Hoe-Down Festival in Aynor. This is the 37th year the festival has been held in Aynor Town Park.
It is one of the largest festivals in the Carolinas and featured music from the Aynor High School band, crafts and many kinds of fried food. There was also a parade with floats and a presentation of Miss Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down Festival.
“A lot of people come back this weekend to visit Aynor,” said Pilot Club member, Sylvia Page. “I get to see a lot of people. And I know that we’re helping other clubs make money so they can support their projects.”
The Pilot Club has put on the festival for the past 37 years. The money raised goes to other community projects including Project Graduation, Camp Burnt Gin, Project Happy Child and the Aynor Library Summer Reading Program.
