NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Main Street in North Myrtle Beach was full of different cultures on Saturday as the city hosted the 13th annual Irish Italian International Festival.

Thousands of people showed up for the food, vendors, live music and games for kids while restaurants competed for the title of Best Entree’, Best Decorated and Best Dessert.

Festival goers said this is a celebration of different backgrounds but also a celebration of the community.

“I think it builds the community relationships,” said Paul Juliano, a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge 2868. “We have the police officers here, first responders here, fire department, and I think it just builds the community relations.”

The Sons of Italy group cooked homemade Italian food at Saturday’s festival and will donate the proceeds to charity.
