SUMTER, SC (WBTW) – Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a man accused of pointing and presenting a firearm.

Spokesperson Ken Bell with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says Asaad McNeil is considered armed and dangerous.

The incident report from the sheriff’s office says deputies responded to a call about a man pointing a gun at another person at an apartment complex on Highway 261 on Sept. 26.

The complainant told police he confronted the suspect outside the apartments about driving recklessly with children playing in the area. During the interaction, McNeil pulled out a silver and black handgun and threatened the complainant. McNeil was driving a grayish- green Lincoln with tag IEF 999, the report says.

McNeil is 23 years old, 5’8″ tall, and 135 pounds. His last known address was 3785 Dawson Road in Rembert.
