PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) – Pawleys Island Police Chief Mike Fanning says officials plan to close the causeways that get people on and off of the island at 5 p.m. Friday.
Today officers wrapped up going door to door with waivers for residents who plan on staying through the storm. According to Fanning, only five people have decided to stay and about 500 people, including renters, have evacuated.
