TIMMONSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – A 20-year old from Timmonsville has been charged with murder in connection to the disappearance of Bobby Junior Evans.

Booking records show that Briheem Anthony Williams was arrested Oct. 13 and charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and failure to appear.

A release from Major Michael Nunn with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were notified by family members on on Oct. 3 that they had not seen or heard from 18-year-old Bobby Junior Evans since Sept. 15.

Officials were told that Evans was last seen about midnight on North Cashua Drive near Florence wearing blue jeans.

On Oct. 10 Florence County Sheriff’s Office investigators and the Florence County Coroner’s Office responded to the discovery of human remains near Victor White Road, Nunn says.

Florence County Coroner Keith VonLutcken identified the victim as Bobby Evans.  The autopsy listed the cause of death to be a gunshot to the head. Investigators believe that around Sept. 24, Williams shot and killed Evans near Victor White Road where the body was discovered.

Williams is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing before a Circuit Court judge.

Officials say the investigation into this incident is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
