REMBERT, S.C. (AP) – One man has died after a fire at his mobile home in Sumter County.
The coroner’s office told local media that the victim in Friday night’s fire as 80-year-old Jasper Crum of Rembert.
The coroner’s office said Crum died of smoke inhalation and burns.
Sumter County firefighters say there does not seem to be any sign of foul play. Sheriff’s spokesman Ken Bell said the home was destroyed. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
