MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police say they have made an arrest in connection to the shooting at a Myrtle Beach motel last Thursday.
According to Lt. Joey Crosby with the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Michael Antonio Montgomery, 36, from Salters, South Carolina was charged with attempted armed robbery, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Officers responded to the Bermuda Sands motel on Oct. 27 about a reported shooting. On arrival, they found one victim who was transported to the hospital.
Through the course of the investigation, investigators learned that the incident had actually happened at the Seven Brothers Motel.
Crosby says Montgomery is currently in Myrtle Beach jail awaiting a bond hearing.
