ST. SIMONS ISLAND SOUND, GA  — Four people and a dog reportedly have minor injuries after a boat fire in St. Simons Island Sound in Georgia, according to U.S. Coast Guard officials.

U.S. Coast Guard crews rescued the people and dog on board the vessel that exploded early Thursday morning. Officials warned mariners of debris from the explosion.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
