RAEFORD, NC – The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two women wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store Wednesday morning.

The sheriff’s office released four different surveillance videos of the two women and the attempted robbery in hopes that someone will be able to identify the suspects.

The two suspects appear to bring a candy bar up to the checkout counter when, a few seconds later, a woman pulls out a handgun and points it at the clerk.

The clerk can be seen trying to swat the gun away when it’s pointed at her. The video appears to show the suspect firing the gun next to the woman. A puff of smoke can be seen and the clerk jumps and covers her ear. She then walks out of the frame to get a phone. The suspect follows her with the gun pointed at her.

Once back in frame, the woman holds out the phone and the woman with the gun tries pistol whipping her in the arm. She then appears to get frustrated and starts ripping and pushing things off the counter and attempts to pistol whip the clerk again before she and the second suspect run out of the store.
