CHICAGO, IL– The Food and Drug Administration has issued a recall Monday of Weight Watchers Smart Ones Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sundae due to possible listeria contamination.

More than 100,00 cases of the frozen dessert are included in the recall. According to the FDA, the cookie dough pieces in the sundaes, which are supplied by a third party, Aspen Hills Inc., tested positive for listeria monocytogenes. Weight Watchers initiated the voluntary recall as a precautionary measure.

The recall includes four-packs of the cookie dough sundae frozen dessert. Click herefor information on the UPC codes and “use by” dates on the recalled packages.

Consumers who purchased this product should not eat it. They should return it to the store where purchased for an exchange or full refund. Consumers can also contact 1-866-572-3805. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern, for a full refund.

There have been no consumer complaints or reports of illness related to this issue to date. This product was distributed to retailers in the U.S. only.
