MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) -According to Myrtle Beach Police Lt. Joey Crosby, the suspect that fled from Broadway at the Beach in the stolen white truck has been apprehended in North Carolina.

He has been identified as Jamal Marquis Daniels of Myrtle Beach.   Information on his arrest and charges have not yet been released.

Investigators are determining if the suspect that was arrested  yesterday, Roderick Smith, will have additional charges. His charges and warrants will be released once that determination has been made.

Crosby says officers were attempting to apprehend a fugitive near 48th  Avenue North and Bypass 17 when the suspect was involved in a car accident at 29th Avenue North and Bypass 17.

The suspect ran from officers into Broadway at the Beach where they stole a white GMC truck, bearing SC tag MBF574, Crosby says.

Police are still looking for the GMC Sierra truck with a ladder rack over the bed, and a black trailer attached to the truck.

One individual has been arrested in connection with this incident but officers have not yet released his name or charges.
