PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) – Midway Fire Rescue’s Wildland Fire Team was deployed to Pickens County this week after their assistance was requested as part of the SC Firefighter Mobilization program.
Georgetown County Spokesperson Jackie Broach says both people and equipment were needed from across the state in the midst of the Pinnacle Mountain Wildfire in Pickens County.
Midway’s Engine 841, with a crew of four certified wildland team members, arrived Thursday to assist with operations and plan to work through the weekend.
Team members who were deployed include: Lt. Peter Copeland, Lt. Jesse Morgan, firefighter Adham DuMont and Firefighter Ryan Matthews.
