MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Dozens of local vendors set up shop in the Five Points District on Saturday for the holiday edition of the Plaza City Market.
The Five Points Business Association held its first market back in September. President John Krajc says it was such a success that vendors asked the association to host another market for the holidays. Several local artisans and food trucks lined Nance Plaza and 9th Avenue, offering holiday gift items and delicious food. One vendor we spoke to actually makes holiday goods from remnants of Hurricane Matthew. Kathie Hope of “PJ and K Crystals and More” says, “Mother nature gave it to us and even though it was a horrible time, to be able to turn it into something good is just a wonderful thing – to be able to recycle it and give back.” She says she will also donate a portion of her profits to Horry County Flood Relief.
