In July 2015, two adults and two teens were murdered in their Holly Hill home. An 8-year-old child was shot in the head, but survived.

On Tuesday, the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office announced the fourth arrest in the case. Thirty-five-year-old Luther Smith from Eutawville is charged with four counts of murder, attempted murder and burglary.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says, “With this being the holidays, I wish that I could go tell each one of these families that I have a loved one to bring back to them, but since we can’t do that, I’m happy to tell them that we are continually seeking justice, and we will not stop, this investigation is ongoing.”

It has been more than 500 days since the murders, and in addition to Luther Smith, earlier this year the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested Antly Scott, Derrick Coleman, and Robert Bailey on murder charges. Another man, Shyheim Lippman was also arrested in September for obstruction of justice in connection to this case. Sheriff Ravenell says more arrests could be in the future.

He says, “This is an ongoing investigation and we may see you soon, thank you.”

Smith had a bond hearing Tuesday, bond was denied and the magistrate judge deferred decision to a circuit court judge in the future.
