CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County police are working to identify the individuals in the surveillance photos in connection with a string of credit card frauds.
Raul Denis with Horry Count police says the suspects are accused of targeting Wells Fargo ATM machines to withdraw funds from existing accounts using fraudulent credit cards.
Police reports say the suspects have tried to withdraw almost $90,000, with only about $52,000 being approved by the bank.
The Wells Fargo locations at Renee Drive in Myrtle Beach, Pavilion Drive in Little River, North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, and the two banks off of Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach have been affected. Police also believe the same suspects are responsible for the same kind of activities in Brunswick County.
