GRESHAM, SC (WBTW) – A man was killed Friday morning after a wreck involving two Jeep SUVs and a logging tractor-trailer in Marion County. 

Anthony Blake Hayes, 31, of Johnsonville, died on the scene, according to the county coroner.

A Jeep SUV and a logging tractor-trailer were heading east at about 6 a.m. on US Highway 378 at Paul Richardson Road just before the accident.

The Jeep tried to pass the logging truck and failed, hitting the side of the truck, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.  The jeep went into the oncoming westbound lane and hit another Jeep SUV.

Hayes was driving the Jeep that tried to pass the truck. The other jeep driver was taken to the hospital.
