MYRTLE BEACH , SC (WBTW) Myrtle Beach International Airport experienced an increase in passenger traffic in the month of November.

“Increased demand, on both American and Delta Air Lines, pushed November’s arriving passenger counts to the highest point for the past five years,” Scott Van Moppes, director of airports for Horry County said.

Kirk Lovell from Horry County Department of Airports said a total of 106,608 passengers passed through MYR in November 2016. That’s an increase of 8.7 percent compared to November 2015 (98,088).

According to Lovell 1,858,180 passengers have passed through MYR in 2016. That represents an increase of 6.0 percent compared to same period in 2015.
