LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – Two community organizations in Robeson County are joining together to offer dinner to people who are still in motels after evacuating their homes because of Hurricane Matthew flooding.

Robeson County Long Term Recovery in conjunction with the National Association of Christian Churches will offer the meals beginning December 20. People still in motels who would like a meal need to call a phone number and order meals the day before each delivery.

Anyone still in a motel because of Hurricane Matthew should call 910-671-3513 to order a meal. Leave a voicemail providing your name, contact number, name of your motel, room number and the number of plates needed. Also state if you are disabled and need room delivery.

Same-day orders are not available. All orders must be placed at 3 p.m. at least a day before delivery. Weekend meals should be ordered no later than 3 p.m. on Friday. Multiple days of meal delivery can be requested with one phone call.

Meals will be delivered to motels between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. each day. The organizations did not say how long the meal delivery service will continue.
