Today is the eighth consecutive Heat Advisory for the area and the final.
A cold front moves through tomorrow, giving us much needed relief. For lunchtime, expect hot & humid weather with low chances of rain. By the afternoon an isolated shower can not be ruled out for today. Heat index values will still reach into the 100s today, and slightly under Tuesday. The cold front that will move through tomorrow and linger slightly into Wednesday will bring a higher chance for widespread rain and lower temperatures. Storms associated with this cold front could be stronger due to all the heat that we have seen in the past days. The main threat will be gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and lighting. Currently, high pressure sits over the Gulf of Mexico aiding in the humidity and the southerly flow of wind that is coming to the area. By midweek, high temperatures than will be in the mid to low 80s.
Mid-day: Hot & humid, afternoon t-storms. Mid 90s inland, low 90s beaches.
Tonight: Warm & muggy, partly cloudy. Upper 70s inland and beaches.
Tomorrow: Hot & humid, evening t-storms. Upper 80s inland and beaches.
