DARLINGTON CO, SC (WBTW) – The coroner has identified remains that were uncovered during a training exercise on Monday as being from an animal.

The Cue Center for Missing Persons was doing a training exercise when they found unidentified remains, according to Lt. Robby Kilgo with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.

The training site where they found the remains is near a truck parking area along I-20 just west of Exit 130. The Cue Center worked with the county sheriff’s office to get permission to be on private and state property for the exercise.

Once at the scene, Darlington County Coroner J. Todd Hardee identified the bones as being from a dog.
