OLANTA AREA, SC (WBTW) – A second person has died of injuries as the result of a crash in Florence County.
Paul Bradley Teal, 49, of Lake City, has died after being a passenger in a truck that crashed on April 8, Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken reported on Wednesday.
The driver of the truck, Jeffrey Wayne Godwin, 42, also died after the wreck, according to earlier reports from the coroner.
The crash happened at around 4:36 p.m. on High Hill Rd. about two miles off of US 378, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
A 2017 pick-up truck was traveling east on High Hill Road, when it ran off the road and struck a tree, according to Cpl. Sonny Collins, with the SCHP. There were three people in the truck.
None of the people in the truck were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
