A line of thunderstorms will move through the Carolinas tomorrow afternoon and evening, bringing the potential for damaging wind and tornadoes. Tonight will be mostly cloudy and breezy as moisture increases. A few showers are possible late tonight. Tomorrow will be a mostly cloudy, windy and warm day with scattered showers. A strong cold front will move through late in the day, bring a line of potentially severe thunderstorms. These severe storms will move into the Pee Dee after 3pm, push east of Florence around 6pm, then move offshore by 8pm. These fast moving storms will bring heavy rain and strong wind. Damaging wind gusts to 70mph are possible, and there is a chance for an isolated tornado. Rainfall amounts will average 1-2 inches, but some spots could see up to 4 inches of rain, falling in a short period of time, so flooding is possible. This system will move away tomorrow night. Saturday will be windy and cooler with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Plenty of sunshine on Sunday, then it will warm up and stay sunny for much of next week.
