CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Police found 9 bags of heroin, 5 bags of crack cocaine, 5 bags of pot, a gun, and a large sum of cash after complaints of drug sales in a playground parking lot.
Horry County Police Department Street Crimes Unit was called to the Commonwealth Circle at the Legacy Apartments on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, officers found a suspicious vehicle at the community playground, occupied by three people. The vehicle was full of smoke and there was a strong odor of marijuana present. When officers made contact with the subjects, illegal narcotics were observed in plain view in the vehicle.
This case resulted in two arrests and a cash seizure of $1,321.00.
The following individuals have been arrested and charged:
Cortez Davis, 18, of Conway:
- Possession with intent to distribute heroin
- Possession with intent to distribute crack
- Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- Distribution of a controlled substance in close proximity to a public playground
Ishmeel Bridges, 20, of Conway:
- Unlawful carry of a pistol
- Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- Distribution of a controlled substance in close proximity to a public playground
