NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — It’s where old meets new on Broadway. But as the party continues inside Tootsies, construction continues outside on a temporary “Tootsies”.

“It really symbolizes Broadway, and what they do downtown that everybody’s talking about,” said Jeff Eslick, Tootsies Entertainment media manager. “Luckily we were picked to be a big part of this, and I do believe it’s the color.”

That famous orchid hue is a key component of the NFL Network coverage.

The network’s main Tootsies stage is in a giant popup venue right outside the front door.

“You’re going to walk to the front door of Tootsies, and you’re still going to have 15 feet to get to the building,” noted Eslick. “What other color would you like than this big, giant purple Lego set out here on Broadway?”

This isn’t Tootsies’ first splash on a national stage.

Just two years ago, in the midst of a Predators Stanley Cup Finals run, thousands gathered outside for a free Luke Bryan rooftop concert.

Amazingly, even more are expected on Broadway next week. But come rain or shine, the party continues both outside and inside Tootsies during the Draft.

“We’re ready. We’re really ready, this big contraption is not gonna stop us one minute of any day,” said Eslick. “It’s going to be fully open. Business as usual.”
