The chance for rain will continue through Wednesday, then it will dry out for the end of the week. A cold front will move through the Carolinas this morning and stall to our south today. Rain chances will still be a little higher along the coast, but inland areas, and especially in North Carolina, it will dry out a bit with just a few scattered showers possible. It will be a little cooler with high temperatures in the low 80s. An area of low pressure will develop along this front to our south, and move across the Carolinas on Wednesday. This will bring a soaking rain for much of the day Wednesday, before it moves away Wednesday night. Drier air will move in behind this storm system, and it will dry out for the end of the week with sunshine returning. Warmer and more humid weather will return Sunday and continue into next week.
Today, partly sunny with a few showers inland, mostly cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms along the coast. Highs in the low 80s.
Tonight, mostly cloudy and cooler with scattered showers. Lows 60-64 inland, 66-68 beaches.
Wednesday, cloudy with rain and thunderstorms. Highs 75-80.
