A portion of the Myrtle Beach State Park Pier has been closed, and the Myrtle Beach State Park Fishing Pier is scheduled to close due to construction.
According to the State Park’s website, the Fishing Pier is expected to coles June 1, and both are expected to remain closed through September.
The Pier Store will remain open during the construction.

The website warns to expect long lines while entering the park on the weekends during the heavy summer season.
The park is applying for FEMA funding to help rebuild after damage from Hurricane Florence.
