CAROLINA FOREST AREA, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Fire Rescue Crews responded to a house in the Carolina Forest area on Thursday
A Facebook post from the department said crews responded to “a multi-level residential fire” at 5208 Harvest Run Way.
According to Tony Casey, with HCFR, no injuries have been reported.
In an update on Tuesday afternoon, HCFR said crews are putting out the final patches of fire at the home, which caught fire around 3:30 p.m.
Investigators determined that the fire started on the ground level near the exterior back of the house, before spreading into the roof area, according to HCFR. No one was injured and the two surrounding houses weren’t significantly damaged.
Two adults and two children were displaced by the fire and are receiving help from the American Red Cross of SC.
HCFR, with help from the Myrtle Beach Fire Department, responded about two dozen apparatus to the scene.
HCFR said members of The Farm neighborhood brought cold drinks to first responders and “it was greatly appreciated.”
