Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WBTW) — Former Socastee and Clemson football star Hunter Renfrow was selected in the 5th round (#149) by the Oakland Raiders in the 2019 NFL Draft on Saturday.

Renfrow went from being a walk-on for the Tigers to becoming one of the schools most decorated wide receivers and is most notably known for catching the game winning pass in the 2016 College Football Playoff Championship against Alabama. 

He finished his college career with 186 receptions,  2,133 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also holds the Clemson record for most consecutive games with a reception with 43 and most career starts with 47. 

In Oakland he will be joined by fellow Tigers Clelin Ferrell and Trayvon Mullen who were also selected by the Raiders during the draft.
