FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) Florence-Darlington Technical College held its annual Commencement Ceremony on Thursday night at the Florence Center. 

Interim President Bethea continued and said, “I could not be more proud of this year’s graduating class at Florence-Darlington Technical College. The men and women who walked across the stage tonight will impact many lives in the Pee Dee region, the state and around the nation.”

Of the 627 total graduates for the 2018-2019 school year, FDTC’s Math and Technical Education division graduated 387 students, while the Health Sciences division graduated 127 students and Arts and Sciences graduated 113. 

This year, FDTC saw its largest Dual Enrollment graduating class. Between Darlington High School and Wilson High School, 29 students received their Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degrees while earning their high school diplomas. Six of the high school students graduated FDTC with honors. 

Florence County Sheriff’s Office Major Mike M. Nunn was the guest speaker.
