High pressure at the surface and in the mid levels will keep the Carolinas hot and mainly dry over the next 7 days. High temps in the afternoon will be well above average in the Mid 80s at the coast and mid to upper 90s inland. Overnight lows will be mild and muggy, near 70 each morning.
An isolated shower is possible today and again Monday but the chance is very low. Any shower that does develop will be small and brief. Winds will pick up again at the beaches early this afternoon as the sea breeze develops and pushes inland. Otherwise winds should be mainly light inland.
Tuesday a week front moves in late bringing a slight chance for a few showers and isolated storm. We’ll knock off a few degrees on Wednesday but still staying hot and humid. By the end of the week, high pressure ridge will be at its strongest and we could potentially hit 100 in a few spots both Friday and Saturday.
