MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police are looking for a person who they say fled after a shots fired report.
Officers are currently looking for a person who fled in the area of Canal Street, according to a post on the Myrtle Beach Police Department’s Facebook page.
Officers responded to the area of 3rd Avenue North and Cedar Street for a report of a shot fired into a dwelling around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, the post said. Officers located a vehicle believed to be involved a short distance away and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
After a short pursuit, the driver reportedly fled on foot in the area of Canal Street.
Residents in the area are asked to be vigilant and contact the MBPD if they see anything suspicious.
