According to a Tweet from Myrtle Beach police, the event grounds at the Carolina Country Music Festival was temporarily closed due to lightning strikes in the area.
Police say they hope to have the grounds reopened to the public at 3:45 p.m.
Police say that if you are involved in outside activities, to take shelter immediately until the “All Clear” is given.
