Bomb squad called in to investigate suspicious package in Scotland County

The Scotland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a suspicious package was found near the Family Dollar in Laurel Hill. 

According to Lt. Jessica Sadonikov with the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office the Cumberland County Bomb Squad was called in to assist. 

People are asked to avoid the area on Morgan Street as officers continue to investigate.
