Aaron Rhody is a Minnesota native who spent 10 years in Wisconsin before moving to the Grand Strand.
He went to high school in Lakeville, Minnesota, then college at Minnesota State Mankato, then Brown College where he got a degree in broadcasting.
From there he went on to become a news director at a pair of radio stations in northern Wisconsin. After three years there he moved south, all the way to Eau Claire, Wisconsin where he got into TV. In Eau Claire Aaron was a morning news anchor, producer, and reporter from 2012-2018 at WQOW. While at WQOW he won an Emmy for a story he did on dyslexia.
From Eau Claire, Aaron moved south again, but actually to ‘the South’ this time, where it’s much warmer than he’s used to. He started at WBTW News13 in July of 2018.
He’s looking forward to snow cones over snow blowers, snow shovels, snow shoes, etc. He left all that ‘up north’. Aaron doesn’t golf well, but he does beach well, so that’s where you’d likely find him in his free time. He loves his Minnesota Vikings, but as for college football, still hasn’t decided between Clemson and South Carolina.
Weekdays be sure to watch him on WBTW News13 this Morning as he joins Patsy Kelly, James Hopkins, and Jonathan Weant from 4:30 to 7a.m.
