MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A Myrtle Beach man raped and kidnapped a 20-year-old woman at a local motel, according to police.
Carlton Lee Sanderson, 32, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct, first degree and kidnapping after an incident that happened on Sunday.
Police were called at about 8:30 p.m. about an assault. After speaking with the 20-year-old victim, police transported her to the hospital.
According to the warrant, Sanderson “alleged that the sexual contact was consensual but fled the scene afterwards when he learned that police were contacted.”
Sanderson remains in jail on $150,000 bond.
