Scattered showers and thunderstorms arrived today, and will continue through the weekend. The tropical moisture that brought today’s showers will move away tonight. Showers will diminish this evening, then it will remain mostly cloudy, warm and muggy overnight. A weak cold front will approach the Carolinas tomorrow. Mostly of the day will be sunny and warm, then scattered thunderstorms will develop in the late afternoon and evening. The weak front will move through Sunday, bringing a better chance for showers and thunderstorms. This front will push offshore Monday, and slightly drier weather will move in with a drop in humidity. It will gradually heat back up next week with the chance for rain returning by the end of the week.
