Chris Parks

Chris has always been around sports since a young age, whether it be playing one or going to one.

As a youngster, he would often take the family video camera , turn it on, record, and give a play by play commentary of everything happening in front of him.

Fast forward to now and he is proudly able to make a living doing just about the same thing in the sports industry for nearly a decade.

Chris came to WBTW in May of 2017 from Fort Myers, FL where he spent 3 years as the weekend sports anchor and reporter on WZVN ABC-7.

In Southwest Florida, he got to cover Spring Training Baseball with the Red Sox, Rays, and Twins, many professional golf tournaments, and Florida Gulf Coast University, aka “Dunk City.”

Before his move to the sunshine state, he spent 6 years in Lima, OH at WTLW-44 & WOSN-TV as a sports anchor/reporter/commentator for their 24-7 sports network.

Chris covered nearly 60 high schools in every sport, produced a wide range of shows and specials, and aided in their seasonal 90 minute high school football show.

He is very excited to move from one beach town to another and get to know all the people that make up the Pee Dee and Grand Strand areas.

If you have a story idea or want to reach out, feel free to anytime!
