GARDEN CITY, SC (WBTW) – Part of an inn was damaged by strong winds Monday afternoon in Garden City.

According to Horry County Emergency Management, the damage was not the roof, but was siding from the front of the building.

Video sent by News13 viewer Keri Catoe appears to show part of the Garden City Inn flopped over the front of the inn and flapping in the wind.

News13’s Taylor Herlong reports remnants of the building littered the parking lot of the inn and the debris was also striking nearby cars.

“Stuff is flying around everywhere. It definitely reminds me of Matthew. We were out here for Matthew, and it was a lot to take in. As it is right now, I mean, when we were out here for Matthew, it was over the streets with water flooding everywhere. I mean, some streets are flooded, but it’s close. Close enough to being Matthew,” said Garden City resident Shannon Sten.
