LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – The Florence County Sheriff’s Office says the fifth suspect in a Christmas Eve murder has been extradited to Florence.

Major Mike Nunn with the sheriff’s office says Justin Marquise Pringle, 19, was taken into custody in Columbus, Ohio on Jan. 12. Pringle was the last of five suspects in the murder of a Lake City man inside his home on Christmas Eve.

Pringle is now being held at the Florence County Detention Center. A bond hearing is expected in the near future, but Major Nunn did not have an exact date.

According to investigators, the five men were involved in a home invasion and the murder of Johnny Cameron, 74, of Lake City. Officials say Cameron was killed inside his home, located at 709 N. Old Georgetown Road, on Dec. 24.

Also arrested in the murder:

  • Curtis Roy Nelson, 47, of Lake City. Nelson is charged with murder and armed robbery while armed with a deadly weapon.
  • Carl Jerell McDowell, 20, of Lake City is charged with murder.
  • Anthony Markell Hudson, 28, of Lake City, is charged with murder.
  • Charlie Myron Roberson, 19, of Lake City, is charged with murder and unlawful carrying of a pistol.

Pringle was taken into custody in Columbus, Ohio by the Columbus Police Department SWAT team, Florence County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.
