Clouds will move in tonight ahead of a cold front Wednesday which will bring showers and a few gusty winds. Temperatures tonight will stay mild with lows in the low to mid 60s. We will warm up some in the morning before the cooler air arrives behind the cold front.
A line of showers will accompany the cold front but they will be fast moving. A few of the showers could be stronger with gusty winds and maybe a few rumbles of thunder. Otherwise, not everyone will see the showers and only about a tenth of an inch of accumulation is expected, except where a few of those stronger cells track through. The line will arrive to Chesterfield, Marlboro and Scotland Co around noon. The line will continue towards the coast through the afternoon and push offshore by 7 pm.
Cooler and drier air will filter in Wednesday night. Highs by Thursday will only top out in the mid 60s. We’ll rebound briefly Friday and Saturday before another cold front arrives Saturday with showers. We’re dry again for most of Sunday until another set of fronts arrives Monday and Tuesday.
Tonight: Increasing clouds, mild. Lows 62 inland, 64 beaches.
Wednesday: Breezy with showers. Highs 76 inland, 74 beaches.
Thursday: Sunny and much cooler. Highs mid 60s.
