The Horry County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in the 2016 robbery of the Dollar General on Clover Leaf Drive.
According to Horry County Police, James Laverne Bellamy robbed that Dollar General and fled in a customer’s car in September of 2016. That car was found the next morning on Tallwood Road and Highway 57.
Bellamy is facing multiple armed robbery charges, kidnapping charges, and firearms charges. He is in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
One person was hurt in the robbery but did not go to the hospital. A second suspect is also connected to the robbery.
