One person was killed after being struck by two cars in Florence County early Saturday morning.

Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the person struck as Jennifer Elizabeth Reynolds of Coward. Reynolds was 37-year-old and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to Cpl. Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:35 a.m., on US 52 in Effingham.

Troopers say the crash happened near the post office on US 52. 

Collins says that two cars were heading south on US 52 when Reynolds walked into the road and was hit by both cars.

No charges have been filed.
