Florence School District One named its 2018 athletes of the year, Sunday.
Avahna Baker and Ryan Nelson, both of Wilson High School received the 2018 female and male athlete of the year awards, respectively. Baker for her accomplishments on the school’s girl’s basketball team and Nelson for his efforts on both the football and cross county teams.
Other nominees included Mary Outlaw and Tyzahn Lawson of West Florence and Tiara Fulmore and Aquanzie Bethea of South Florence.
