1 person died and six people were transported to the hospital after a crash on Tuesday.
Cpl. Sonny Collins, with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, says the 2-car crash happened around 11:20 p.m. on U.S. Highway 378 near Capitola Road in Johnsonville.
A Dodge SUV was traveling west on Hwy 378 when it crossed the center line and hit another SUV head on, according to Collins. Four people from the car were transported to the hospital and the driver died. Three people in the Dodge SUV were transported to the hospital.
Collins also says all victims were wearing seatbelts and charges are pending.
No information on the victims’ conditions or identities has been released.
