A man is wanted for murder after a fatal shooting in Robeson County.

Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey says in a press release 23-year-old Christopher Ryan Locklear, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, is wanted for first degree murder in connection with the death of 34-year-old William Jerome Williamson. 

According to Sealey, officers were called to 3075 Covington Farm Road in Shannon around 2:10 a.m. on Saturday for reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, deputies found Williamson shot. Williamson was transported to Southeastern Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

The release also says Williamson was shot and killed during a birthday party at his residence. An autopsy is being performed to determine Williamson’s specific cause of death.
