A wet and stormy pattern is setting up for next week. Tonight a round of scattered storms is expected to move in from the west. A few of these cells could produce some strong, gusty winds. Skies will be partly sunny to at times, mostly cloudy Sunday. Scattered showers and storms will likely develop in the afternoon. Better rain chances arrive on Monday and stay elevated through Wednesday. An area of low pressure to our west will provide a stream of moisture from the south into the Carolinas. We could see an additional 3 to 4 more inches of rain through Wednesday with localized higher amounts. The moisture stream weakens by the end of the week but showers and storms will still be possible each day. Highs temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s to near 90 each day.
